I always wondered why I joined the Navy being absolutely terrified of the ocean. Perhaps I'm an idiot. Perhaps I was unintentionally courageous. Most likely I fought my fear to get a paid education and to serve my country. I would never do it now though I would never serve a country ran by idiots and dictators.
Never try to get the attention of the deities, it will end up bad on the human's side.
